Annual July Trip to Georgia...

We just wrapped up our annual trip to Georgia to visit with our families. We started this tradition when the boys were just 4 months old. This year we jam packed 10 days with visits to friends and family. The trip down and back there was much longer than anticipated thank goodness for DVD players and LeapPads. Besides traveling in the car, the trip was fantastic. We spent the two weekends with my family. I was so great to spend time with everyone. James went fishing for the first time. It was too cute. Jackson was not interested in fishing at all. Monday we went to spend the week with Bob's family. The boys had a blast they went to Fun Park to play in the arcade, the mall (including a visit to the pet store), and went swimming. The boys loved every minute of playing with their aunts and uncles. Most of all the loved spending time with their Mimi, Pop, Gamma, Grandpa, Nana, Grandma Gooch and Granddaddy Lamb. We had such an amazing time with our families. I was also able to spend time quality with my sister Kaitlyn and best friend Erica. As you can tell from the photos below we had a wonderful time:

We really enjoyed our trip but the traveling is exhausting. I love when we are able to spend time with our families. It is so hard to live so far away from them but know that we are right where the Lord has us for this season.

More for Home....

I am way lat on this post but things have been busy around here. A few weeks ago Bob and I had the opportunity to go home to visit with family and friends as well as celebrate Jamey's marriage. I posted a sneak peak from our trip right before our move but I wanted to show you a few other pictures from that trip! So here they are.

Kait and I again
Bob and I stopped outside of Atlanta so I could meet one of my best friends little girl. This precious little girl is Logan, isn't she a doll!
This is us with Logan, Izzy loved her
This is Logan's mom Victoria, we have been friends since childhood. It was such a joy to meet her daughter! We can not let that much time pass again before we see each other again! You should check out her blog it is full of beautiful pictures of Logan (taken by her incredibly talented momma) as well as Logan's story, she is such a fighter who made her arrival to the world 8 weeks early.

We had such a wonderful time and the visit was way too short!

Headed South...

We are going home to the peach state. Notice I said we. Usually I am the only one able to get off work and go home but for the first time since we have been married and moved to North Carolina, WE are going home. It has been almost 6 months since I have seen my family and 10 months since Bob has seen his. This trip is long overdue. This actually the first time I will make this drive since last time when I got the blood clot, so my nerves have kicked in a bit but there will be lots of stops. This is also Izzy's first road trip ,we are so excited about taking her with us to meet our families, I am excited she will get to socialize with my parent's poodles. This trip is jam packed with things to do including Jamey and Jamie's Wedding Saturday. We are leaving this afternoon when Bob get out of class and coming back Sunday. I am so excited about this trip! Please pray for traveling mercies for us. ALSO check back here for a book review later this week and a giveaway!! Well I have to go finishing up packing and make sure Maggie (our beloved GPS) is in the car.
