Blogging Fail...

I can not comprehend that I have to handsome, smart, hilarious and rambunctious two year olds. It has been almost 1 1/2 years since I have blogged. I am actually pretty sad about this because I know that I have probably forgotten so much by not writing it down but here we go again! :) If you are a first time reader left me fill you in my name is Whitney and I am a wife, mother, and ER nurse. I lead a pretty crazy life but wouldn't trade it for the world. I met my husband in high school and in the spring that I turned 16 he asked me to prom and the rest was history. Bob and I have been married for 4 years now. In 2011 after a complicated pregnancy I gave birth to our twin boys James and Jackson. They bring such joy to our lives. Since my blogging fail a lot has changed. We now have 3 pets yes you read that correctly 3: Izzy our toy poodle, Jonah our goldfish, and the most recent addition Norah our cat. This past October I took a promotion/management position at my job and now serve as a Clinical Team Leader for the Emergency Department at Duke Regional Hospital. Bob graduated in May with his M-Div from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest. The Boys turned 2... yes .....2, I know it is crazy, this past March. They are full blown toddler boys into everything. We are taking each day one step at a time raising our family and pursuing what the Lord has in store for us. If you are just joining us welcome to our crazy life. If have been a follower we are so glad to be back!

Pregnancy Blog...

I promised this link a month ago so here is the link to our pregnancy blog: Two Little Jellybeans.
I started it as a private blog to serve as our journal. Later I made the blog public when we told everyone we were pregnant to keep our families and friends updated on the pregnancy.  I hope to one day merge the blog with this one but that may take a while to figure out. I may simply wait until the twins are here to merge them so I can have a dedicated pregnancy journal. So please if you follow my blog add the new one to your blog roll to stay updated our journey to becoming parents!

Miss Us?

Hey Y'all! Did you miss us? I know you missed Izzy's sweet face, right? We took a blogging vacation this summer but we are back. Things have been busy around here and we had a wonderful summer. I went on a ladies retreat, we celebrated our anniversary, and  I headed south for a beach vacation just to name a few things that went on. This summer was also filled with a lot of work. Summer is coming to a close this week as Bob resumes classes at Southeastern Seminary. He has another full load so please pray for him as he begins this semester. I really wish it would cool off here it has been hot! Has it been hot where you are? I am so excited about the things going on in our life right now. We are trying to settle in to the back to school routine which is always a little crazy and I happy to be blogging again. I really missed the blogging world the past few months. On this happy update there is also a sadness. A family very close to us is dealing with tragedy. Last month they delt with the death of one set of parents and a month to the day they are dealing with another. Our hearts are broken for them and we ask that you please lift up the Miller family. We know God is the great comforter and although we do not understand He is still on the throne and by our side.

In the beginning....

After conquering the world of myspace and then facebook I have decided to blog or atleast try. Why not? What better way to document this roller coaster ride called the first year of marriage and of course keep our family and friends updated on our lives. I will definitely have plenty to write it seems as the first 25 days of our marriage have been proven to be very interesting and a definite learning experience. So I hope you join me as I share our joys, hopes, fears, and tears through this wonderful journey of sharing our lives together unfolds.
